About Me.
I have been a keen amateur photographer since as long as I can remember, however, it was not until I got my first DSLR (Canon 40D) in 2007, that I really found myself getting hooked on photography. I love taking images no matter the subject.
Prior to 2022 my photography was a passionate hobby. Having trained as a Civil Engineer and worked in the civil construction industry for 15 years, I turned my attention to the creative world of photography.
I needed a change. I was burnt out and had lost the passion and drive. Call it a mid-life crisis, call it what you want but a career reset was needed.
Having some time off after leaving my last role in the construction world completely depleted, I picked up my camera and started getting back into my photography. After a couple of months, I realised that maybe, just maybe, I could turn this into a career.

I enrolled in a Diploma of Photography and Photo imaging at Billy Blue College of Design, through Torrens University in mid 2022, which I will complete in November 2023.

My passion is wildlife and landscape photography, in particular bird photography.
I am currently working as a freelance photographers' assistant and completing small photography jobs such as headshots and some event work.
My aim is to build up my own brand as a nature and wildlife photographer. This is where Barra Images was born.
