This image was taken in July 2020, on Brightling Park Farm at Oak Mount, in Caloola NSW.

I love colours in this image and the way the mid morning light hits one side of the large gum tree. I also feel like the recent strike of the newly sown paddock in the foreground give the sense of good things to come, only 3 months after the first good rain since the drought of 2017 - 2019.

Brightling Park farm is a working sheep farm, south west of Bathurst. It has a great mix of rolling hills and significant tree canopy, with dedicated conservation areas. I have managed to photograph 52 separate species of birds to date on the farm including threatened species such as the Diamond Firetail and Gang-gang Cockatoo .
